Friday night I took my wife to see Bon Jovi at Verizon Arena in North Little Rock.

But there was a problem. It was Game 6 of the National League Championship Series between the Cardinals and Dodgers. Memo to Verizon Arena: You've got to improve data service inside that building.
The concert was good. I figure any band who has been playing major tours as long as they have has the act down. They played all the hits. My wife liked it. I was OK with it.
But I was having trouble enjoying the show for the first half. I couldn't get a Cardinals-Dodgers update. Not on any app. Not on the Internet. Not via text.
Ugggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wasn't happy. In fact, I had given up. I pretty much assumed the Cards were losing.
Then my wife got a text from my best friend Pat. "Cards lead 4-0"
It was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders.
Then came another text from Pat: "How does 9-0 sound?"
It sounded amazing. As we departed the arena after the show, I checked the score. Two outs in the top of the ninth. I pulled up the TBS app and watched the final out on my phone.
NLCS Champs. Great night.
