C25K Week 4, Day 3: Week four not bad at all

It was Saturday night and I was tired. But I knew I had to get through Week 4, Day 3 of Couch 2 5K. So I headed out to Southgate to run in the briskly cool air.

W4D3 goes like this: Five minute warmup walk; jog three minutes; walk 90 seconds; jog five minutes; walk 2.5 minutes; jog 3 minutes; walk 90 seconds; jog five minutes; five minute cooldown walk.

This is the third time doing this routine and felt pretty good about it. And it actually went remarkably well.

One thing I've noticed is how my body feels during the running segments. There are times when it feels like I can't take another step. Moments later, I feel like I could run forever. I just try to go a little slower when I don't feel great and pick up the pace when I feel better.

So far it's working for me.

I ended up doing a little extra walking at the end, finishing in 36:30. I went 2.24 miles at an average speed of 3.69 mph. I'd really like to know how fast I'm running, but Runtastic doesn't break it down that way.

Still about five weeks until the Spa City 5K and feeling great. But the running time starts to increase dramatically in the next few weeks.
