36-week appointment a bit scary, but all OK for now

We had the 36-week appointment today and it was a little scary.

It's been interesting to watch the changes over the past several months. But yesterday, my wife's belly seemed to not stick out as much. And it didn't seem as hard. I didn't think much about it though.

Then we went to the 36-week appointment today. Her belly measured a bit less. And they had a lot of trouble locating the heartbeat. The doctor then ordered an ultrasound.

When the ultrasound technician started the procedure, she had a bad look on her face. I was immediately worried. She said Paisley was now breach. Yikes! Last week she was head down. Now she's flipped all around.

When Maddie was born, she was sideways most of the pregnancy. During the final two weeks, she went breach, then turned the right way days before delivery. Maybe Paisley will do the same.

The good news is that everything seems to be OK. She weighs about six pounds and has a good heartbeat. She's also apparently got a pretty good head of hair. The big question is whether it will be red.

She already looks a lot like Maddie did.
