Merry Christmas to all; our house is trashed

The buildup to Christmas lasted quite a while. The trashing of our house only took a few minutes. But it was fun.

Maddie and Anna Kate came rolling into our bedroom about 6:30 a.m., fired up and ready to go. We made them wait a few minutes while I got the camera ready (and got my eyes to open).

Anna Kate came down the hall and was really excited to see what Santa Claus had brought her. Of all the things laid out, she went straight for the Flashlight Friend. This panda bear flashlight is really the only thing she wanted for Christmas. It's nothing more than a panda bear with a flashlight built into the chest. And she absolutely loves it.

Then she started looking at the rest of the stuff. She was most excited by a stuffed Sully from Monsters, Inc. She danced around the room with it.

Then we opened presents. My spoiled kids both got iPad Minis this year (along with super protective cases). They were both very excited about them. Anna Kate also got a piano that syncs with her iPad. It's really neat the way it teaches you the notes or allows you to play games. I learned how to play Old McDonald this morning. My first song :)

We don't have a lot of Christmas plans this year. We weren't sure if we'd be in the hospital or where on this day. I'm actually glad we're here, at least for now. Tomorrow would be a great day to get Paisley born.

Have to go pick up the living room. My wife's family is coming over today for a little while. That should be fun.

Merry Christmas!!!!
