Nervous excitement as race time nears

It's about 16 hours until the Spa 5k. I'm officially a nervous wreck.

We went down and picked up our shirts, race number and timing chips. I'm No. 834. I guess I should be excited that I've got my first-ever race number. I'm really just nervous about a lot of things.

• What is the temperature going to be?
• Is it going to be raining?
• Can I manage the long uphill?
• Can I finish the race?
• Can I run faster than 45 minutes?

These are all things weighing heavily on my mind. But I would say it's nervous excitement. I am really excited to get this over with.
