Leaving my pregnant wife at the hospital tonight was heartbreaking

When we went to the hospital tonight I had no idea we'd be there as long as we were. Or that at some point I'd have to say goodbye and come home without my wife.

She was diagnosed with the flu. Even though her temperature went from 102.9 down to 97 and the baby's heart rate from 188 to 148, they still wanted to keep her overnight.

Hopefully she will be better in the morning. But I miss her and am worried about her.
