DVR makes middle of night feedings better

Another thing that has changed during this round of Fatherhod is TV. Thirteen years ago we didn't have a DVR. Heck, we bsrely had satellite.

Last night Paisley woke up hungry at 4 a.m.  I carried her into the kitchen and made the bottle -- one handed. I sat down on the couch and flipped on the TV.

Infomercials are everywhere except ESPN, which is airing SportsCenter. I don't really like SportsCenter and doubt if I've watched a full episode in the past three years.

I hit the DVR button. We just had a HBO free preview this weekend so I've got some movies recorded. But I didn't want to start a two-hour movie at 4 a.m. I scrolled through the DVR. I've got some full seasons of sitcom type shows recorded that I haven't even started. I chose Brooklyn 9-9 and watched episode 4 of the 14 recorded.

By the time it was over, Paisley was finished with the bottle and headed back to sleep.

And so was I. Well, the sleep part at least.
