Rest right way to wrap busy week

Today is the first day in a while that I actually feel somewhat rested. No, not completely rested. But rested enough that I can function.

After averaging about four hours sleep the last five nights, I got more than seven last night. It was the finish to a pretty hective week.

I fully intended to go to the UALR games both Thursday and Saturday nights . I didn't make it to either.

On Thursday the baby was fussing and I didn't feel right about leaving my wife having to deal with it alone. Last night I was just completely exhausted. After four hours of sleep Friday night I had to be at Malvern High School all day Saturday. Maddie had a basketball jamboree. She played at 8:30, 11:30, 2:30 and 3:30. That's a long time to sit on those hard benches between games.

I was beat when we left. But I just had to accomplish one thing before leaving for UALR. I just had to replace the headlight on my car. One hour later, along with a couple of Google searches, I was done. But it was now 6:30. No way I could make it for the tip. So I didn't go.

It worked out OK. I got some extra rest. And that's what I needed.

Today we had a photographer come to the house for Paisley's newborn photos. We did several poses and outfits and she didn't even fuss that much. I can't wait for her to get the photos back to us. They should be cute .
