First night not too bad with new baby

We've been home for a day now and life with Paisley has been really fun so far.

She really is a good baby. She doesn't cry all that much (at least so far) and is pretty easy to calm down once she does start crying. That's a major blessing. Last night, I fed and changed her at about 11:30 p.m. That meant she wasn't due to eat until 3-3:30 a.m. She woke up about 2 p.m. and I got her to go back to sleep a couple of times. But it was very obvious she was hungry. I made the bottle and my wife fed her and she was happy. She then went back to sleep and slept until we woke her up to eat at 7 a.m.

My kids have been helpful. Maybe even a little too helpful. They used to fight all the time over stuff. Now they fight over who is going to sit by the baby, or hold the baby, or feed the baby.

Anna Kate calls herself the Diaper Genie. She thinks its her job to collect the dirty diaper and put it in the diaper genie. Works for me.

Last night she wanted to sing songs to Paisley. I asked her what she was going to sing. She said, "Wrecking Ball." Uh, maybe let's go with Animal Farm or Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

This morning I told her to clean her room. She told me she was waiting for ObamaCare. Yeah, I'm not sure that's what it's for. I'm guessing she spent a little too much time at Grandma's and Grandpa's house this week.

Hopefully my wife will start to feel better soon.
